We are looking for a talented Reliability Engineer - Technical Specialist to join our team specializing in #Newpower in Mississauga/ your remote home office.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • This role will be responsible for working with the platform engineering teams to lead the design for reliability activities and ensure that we have a good understanding of the risks to the product and how we are planning to either manage the risk or mitigate the risk.

  • This person will be working closely with the platform TPL to ensure we understand the capability of the product to deliver on the requirements.

  • Responsibilities will include activities such as historical failure assessment, DFMEA's including working with validation to develop understanding of new potential failure modes and product durability.

  • Leading the validation failure investigation process (FIRG) and reporting on the capability of the product to meet expectations overall.

  • Developing reliability models and partnering with the software team to establish the data needed as we build capability for live product analysis.

  • In addition to established Reliability Standard Work, this role will need to work closely with Customer Care and Service to develop the RAMs plan.(Reliability Availability and Maintenance)

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Qualifications

  • Skills needed are a good facilitation and communication skills.

  • A willingness to dive into the detail and interpret the findings into actionable recommendations for the team to assess.

  • A background in product design, validation, service or reliability would be beneficial.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or appropriate STEM field is required.

  • Post-graduate (Master's) degree relevant to this discipline area may be required for select roles.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

  • Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area.

  • demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making.

  • Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred.
